The clinic is in a residential area on a peaceful cul-de-sac. Dr. Reeves prolotherapy research clinic is located in a professional office in a residential area in the Kansas City metro. Sounds unusual but that is customary and usual for much of the world, and it allows for a lower overhead to facilitate research on natural treatments with promise that are not of interest to drug companies. All personnel and medical staff in this research have completed the COVID-19 Vaccination Series. Treatment in the evening. This study about prolotherapy treatment of PTSD involves medical students who are active in school during the day. We offer treatment during a convenient post supper time, starting at 7 P.M. on Mondays. Here is what Dr. Reeves office looks like evening clinic.
When you arrive: Come into the reception room and ring the bell to alert us that you have arrived. When a room is ready: One of us will escort you through the waiting room
Our Waiting Room
through the primary office area,
and into one of our two professional treatment rooms, which are well-equipped and comfortable, and have multiple screens for projection of ultrincluding ultrasound for imaging, and projection of that image to multiple screens.
You will open a sealed randomization envelope after all questions have been answered and baseline information filled in. The envelope contents will indicate if you have been assigned to treatment at the first available time or whether you have been randomized to the 8 week wait period. In either case an appointment will be made for you for your first treatment on a Monday evening at the first available time, or after 8 weeks, depending on your group.
You do not need to dread the treatment. It will feel like a pinch: This is because the needle is very tiny and we do special numbing. Our patients are experiencing minimal discomfort.
Do not expect benefit for 8 weeks. Some people benefit much sooner, but everyone is different.
The reason we are volunteering our time and resources in this study is because we are seeing changed lives and this treatment appears to be complementing other treatments that are being used for PTSD. We can't tell you how much treatment may be needed after 8 weeks, but we are finding that treatment needs drop rapidly after that time.
We want to see your suffering from PTSD end. We will pray and fight for that outcome for you.
